thoughts are flowers:
like flowers, thoughts pass
through all stages of growth;
they are most complete and beautiful
at the moment they blossom.
then, they are most significant.
like flowers, thoughts fade:
dropping their petals so soon after blossoming;
thoughts can be recollected, written down,
but they can no longer infuse
our mind with their first perfume.
thoughts, like plants, can have thorns and poisons:
while flowers spread a fragrance pleasing to all,
other plants leave us scratched and blistered. . .
every person has his own inclination
to plant his favorite thoughts.
